BFF - Friends Forever?

Do you have a soul mate? best friend? Which ever you call it..a person that you turn to whenever you're helpless . He washes away sorrows and aids pain, he would take care of the entire world of problems.

As we grow older, our priorities changes. Just like my dear friend; Handsome (he likes to claim himself that), last night he broke the news to me that he is getting married in 2009.

  • A friend that would cross boundaries. No matter where on earth, he would be on call to help. Let it be taking care of errand while I am not around, he'd even fly over to lend a shoulder when I am in despair.
  • A friend who is one call away. Anytime of the day, he would reach within 20 minutes whenever I ask for him unless he is in dreamland. 4 a.m., he would come help change my burst tires on the other end of where he lives.
  • A friend who would give knowing there will be no return for the past 11 years. We are a perfect example of 'platonic relationships'.

Well, I am an independent person but he is the only person I would happily trouble him anytime anywhere. Guess, we are just too close to talk bout formality or shy or awkward.
Will it ever be the same like we used to be? Unfortunately, it will never be like before. My 911 no is no longer active. shifted to another phase of lifeline called "married with family".

Handsome, I truthfully wish you all the best! No worries, I am very capable of taking care of myself.

goodbye grandma...

It is my second week doing internship at an internet advertising agency but to be exactly, I only worked for 1 1/2 weeks due to a series of death in my family. My beloved grandma and my uncle.

grandma...
She took care of us (my elder sister, chloe and I) when we were young, as usual, both working parents. I was really young that time so couldn't really recall much of the memories back then but I remember she likes cleaniness a lot. She will at least sweep the floor twice a day. "I don't like to sweep coz the dust triggers my running nose" so the best time to be at grandma's house is during Chinese New Year, coz the tradition doesn't allow us to sweep away the "choy = prosperous". Thinking back, I hardly help doing house chores. Chloe cover up for me all the time. She too

Then, when I got into high school, I learned to take public transport because my high school is quite far away that required me to exchange buses to get there. The exchange point is in Pudu where grandma stays. So, whenever I don't feel like going home after school, I will buy Tong Kee egg tarts to visit grandma. After a while, I only realised grandma never eat any of those tarts I brought. First, I ate it all before she could even lay her hands on it. Second, her health condition can't eat high colestrol food. Don't know since when I stop seeing grandma as often. I regret for not turning up even in Chinese New Year family gathering. *sob* *sob*

Last 3 days, grandma's funeral was held at Nirvana. This morning, she was burned into ashes. She is 78 years old, guess it is time for her to rest peacefully in heaven. Goodbye forever, popo!
